There are a lot of things to make with flour. For example: pies, cookies, pancakes and desserts. Usually this kind of products are unhealthy with a lot of carbohydrates. However there is introduce a new kind of flour. The flour is mixed with grinded crickets. The crickets provide that there will be more protein in the products.
Ingredients: Wheat flour, buckwheat flour, maize flour, oatmeal flour and cricket powder
Nutritional information per 100g: Energy 1201KJ/185 Kcal, protein 32,2g fat 9,9g of witch saturated fatty acids 3,6g, carbohydrates 16,6g of witch sugars2,1g, fiber 3,4g, salt 0,4g.
100g plain flour
2 large eggs
1 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil, plus a little bit for frying
Lemon wedges to serve (optional)
Caster sugar, to serve (optional)
How to make it?
- Put 100g plain flour, 2 large eggs, 300ml milk, 1 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil and a pinch of salt into a bowl or large jug, then whisk to a smooth batter.
- Set aside for 30 minutes to rest if you have time, or start cooking straight away.
- Set a medium frying pan or crêpe pan over the medium heat carefully wipe with some oiled kitchen paper.
- When hot, cook your pancakes for 1 minute on each
